J2O: Promotional stand out & stand up
What do you get if you cross the leading adult UK soft drink with one of the nation’s favourite comedians? A multi-media Christmas promotion that engaged consumers throughout the festive season and beyond, driving sales and brand awareness.
OK, the punch line may not be very catchy, but the promotion certainly caught everyone’s imagination. It offered the chance to win tickets to an exclusive Jimmy Carr gig. And to ensure everyone joined in the fun, each entry received a joke from Jimmy Carr on their mobile. Entry to the promotion was through a unique microsite incorporating a comedy first; the chance for users to create a tailored wind-up for their friends.
Just a few personal insights gave comedian Gordon Southern all the material he needed to turn the attention on to the unsuspecting viewer during his stand up routine. The tailored jokes were delivered as part of his set, bringing the viewer into the very heart of the action.
